Our founder, E.A. Bright, Jr. or “Bud” to most, started his company in 1946 while he was working at a neighborhood gas station as a mechanic. He began with a few jukeboxes. As the popularity of the 78 rpm record took off, everyone who had a small storefront, such as soda fountains, restaurants, and cocktail lounges, all wanted this equipment. Bud went to see his long-time friend and banker to take out a business loan. Bill Barnett, with Barnett Bank of Jacksonville, worked with Bud on all his business dealings throughout their respective lives.
Gator Coin II Inc. has grown and prospered throughout the years. Our family business is fortunate to have withstood the hard knocks of city, state, and federal regulations. Not only do we partner with our clients by providing them the newest and greatest in amusement equipment
, but we also keep them informed about the latest governmental activity that can adversely affect both of our livelihoods.
Our business is a founding member of the Florida Amusement Machine Association (now Amusement Machine Owners Association of Florida) and a current board member. We are also members of the National Amusement & Music Operators Association.
Today, the company is being managed by Jonathan, a third generation family member to run the business. Our technicians stay current by attending workshops and ‘how-to’ seminars.
